Mindfulness Coaching
Customized for you.
A Personalized Approach to Applied Mindfulness
Michelle offers a highly personalized coaching program to help you integrate mindfulness into your life in a way that matches your temperament, interests, and goals. Learn ways to apply mindfulness to the joys and challenges of modern daily life: work, creative pursuits, relationships, aging, illness, and more.
Through silent and guided meditations, visualization, and dialogue, you will learn to strengthen mental focus, find clarity, manage difficult emotions, be kind to yourself, and adopt a perspective that fosters thoughtful, intentional action. By cultivating awareness and compassion, you will learn to transform unskillful reactions and behaviors and live in alignment with your values and goals.
Get unstuck and discover new ways forward.
Typical sessions last 50 or 60 minutes and are held weekly on Zoom. In-person sessions are possible locally. Fees are on a sliding scale.

About Michelle Morrison
Michelle is a mindfulness meditation teacher certified by the UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center, with a personal practice of over twenty years. She has taught mindfulness and yoga in private, corporate, and nonprofit settings since 2007, and began offering one-on-one mindfulness coaching in 2024.
Michelle and Donald Fleck co-founded the Free Friday Mindfulness program in 2020, leading guided meditation and discussion to people from the U.S. and Canada, as well as the UK, India, and China. Over six years later, Michelle continues to lead these weekly sessions, and has created a community (sangha) where people feel welcomed to show up a they are and support one another in the practices of understanding and compassion.
In 2019 Michelle completed an intensive two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. In addition to Jack and Tara, her teachers included Ruth King, Rick Hanson, Judson Brewer, and Kristen Neff, and many others. In 2026 she traveled to India with MMTCPA alumni to visit and practice at important sites in the life of the Buddha.
Michelle’s primary mindfulness practice is in the tradition of Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Nanh (“Thay”). She has been member and facilitator of the Rock Blossom Sangha in Brooklyn since 2003, and has been a member of the Care-Taking Council since 2013. She attended several week-long retreats with Thay, and a 21-day retreat with him at his center in Plum Village, France, in 2012.
After graduating from the MMTCP program in 2019, Michelle co-led daylong workshops with Donald Fleck and assisted him with his MBCT workshop.
This past summer she became certified in IFS-Informed Somatic Trauma Therapy through The Embody Lab.
Michelle currently leads the Free Friday Mindfulness program, offers retreats and workshops, coaches people one-on-one, and teaches yoga online.
