Michelle Morrison

Michelle credits yoga and mindfulness with helping her to meet life’s challenges with grace and resilience, and she is passionate about sharing these powerful resources with others.
Michelle Morrison is a mindfulness meditation teacher certified by the UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center. She has practiced mindfulness for over fifteen years and has taught meditation in private, corporate, and nonprofit settings since 2007. With Donald Fleck, she co-leads daylong retreats and ongoing classes for graduates of his MBCT workshop.
Mindfulness
Michelle is a longtime member and facilitator of the Rock Blossom Sangha, a practice community in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. She has attended several retreats with Thich Nhat Hanh, including a 21-day retreat at his practice center in France.
In 2019 she completed the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program led by renowned Insight Meditation teachers and psychologists Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. In this intensive two-year training, she gained in-depth knowledge of the Buddhist foundations of mindfulness and compassion practices, as well as secular forms, applications, and research.
Special Interests
Michelle is also a yoga instructor (RYT-500) who has taught in studio, private, corporate, and university settings since 2004. She is certified by Cyndi Lee (Yoga Body, Buddha Mind), Frank Boccio (Mindfulness Yoga), Jillian Pransky (Deep Listening), and Tari Prinster (Yoga for Cancer). She specializes in helping students cultivate curiosity, joy, and freedom through their physical practice.

Michelle is co-leader with Donald Fleck of the Mindfulness Tune-Up Class.
Michelle leads mindfulness sessions online and onsite for businesses seeking to enhance the wellbeing of their employees.
